SESSION- (April – 2013) – (March – 2014)
Rabindra Jayanti : School observed Rabindra Jayanti on 09.05.2013 amid befitting activities. A teacher of the school Sri Partha Sarothi Deb spoke on some of the aspects of the Poet’s life and urged the students to read about the Poet in order to know his contribution to literature.

On 15-Aug-13 Independence Day was celebrated in school. Principal Sri Digesh Ch. Nath hoisted the tri colour and addressed the students.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in school on 21-Aug-13. After rituals and a brief function at school students went to the different colonies escorted by teachers and tied sacred thread to the people. Three hundred rakhies were distributed on the day.

Eknathji Punyatithi was observed in the last period on 22-Aug-13. A teacher of the school Sri Vijay Upadhaya spoke on the solemn occasion and highlighted the significance of the day.

Janmasthami was celebrated with joy and devotion on 28-Aug-13. A teacher of the school Sri Sanjay Srivastava spoke on Lord Sri Krishna’s childhood. Two group dances were performed by the students of the lower primary section clad in colourful costumes. Dahi handi loot was arranged in the school playground. Students of the secondary block participated in the event with dedication and joy.

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm among students and staff on 5th. Sri Solanthung Humtsoe, former District Education Inspector Wokha was felicitated by Principal Sri Digesh Ch Nath at a function in school. Student teachers conducted classes up to 4th period.

Sri Sri Shankardev Tithi was celebrated in school on 7th September. Two borgeets were presented by groups of students. Sri Sunil Sharma, Manager NEEPCO was the invited guest on the occasion. A teacher of the school Sri Bipul Bhagabati spoke on the occasion

Ganesh Chaturthi was observed with devotion and dedication on 9 September. Smt. Nanda Sahu, a teacher of the school spoke on this occasion. A clay modeling competition was organized. Students from classes V- VIII participated in the event.

Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated with great joy and delight on 11-Sep-13. Bharat Jago Daud was participated by jawans from CISF, Assam Rifles and teachers of school in the morning. Jt. Secretary VKSPV, Su. Reboti Devi briefed the participants about the significance of the occasion, while AC CISF, Sri Biju Kulheri flagged off the daud.

A formal function was arranged at the NRC hall. HOP, DHEP NEEPCO Sri Arup Sharma, AC CISF (then), Sri Biju Kulheri, General Secretary, Women Association, Lotha Ho Ho, Wokha, Smt. Nzano Kikon were the invited guests.
The welcome song was presented by a group of teachers. Smt. Nzano Kikon spoke on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. Jt. Secretary VKSPV, Su Reboti Devi briefed the different aspects of Sardha Sati Samaroh.
A Prize Distribution ceremony was held and prize winners in different co curricular activities received their prizes from the invited guests.
Folk Dance – Three groups of ladies performed Lotha Dance clad in traditional attire.
Patriotic Song- Two teams, one from CISF and another from Assam Rifles presented patriotic songs.

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti was jointly celebrated on 2nd October. Sri J Impang Sr. Manager NEEPCO was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Gandhiji’s ideologies of peace and non-violence were presented through a PowerPoint display.
