Rakshabandhan on 8th & 9th August 2025

Rakshabandhan was celebrated on 8th & 9th August 2025 with traditional fervour. The programme on 8th August was initiated with the tying of rakhi by sister teachers on the portrait of Swami Vivekananda which was followed by a song presentation befitting the occasion by a group of girls from class IX. Smt. Pujari Narzary, a teacher, delivered a speech on the significance of the day. The girl students too tied rakhi on the brother students' wrists. The following competitions were conducted for the students as a part of the celebration:
i) Rhymes Competition : BV I, BV II & BV III
ii) Poem Recitation : Class I, II & III
iii) Rakhi Drawing Competition : Class IV, V & VI
iv) Rakhi Making Competition : Class VII, VIII & IX

Another programme on 9th August (Second Saturday) was organised for the teachers. The day started with a cleanliness drive around the school by the teaching and the non teaching staff of the vidyalaya at 7:30 a.m. Then, at 9:30 a.m the sister teachers tied the sacred rakhi on the wrists of the brother teachers and bhaiyas. A group of students from Class VI to X residing near the school along with the teachers visited the CISF office in DHPS (NEEPCO) campus for tying rakhi to the Personnel of CISF.

Guru Purnima

 Guru Purnima was observed in the Vidyalaya on 9th July 2025. The Principal offered flowers to the portrait of Omkara. Guru Strota and Guru Bhajans were led by groups of students. The significance of the day was also briefed by Sri Nayan Borkataki, a teacher.
