Rakshabandhan on 8th & 9th August 2025

Rakshabandhan was celebrated on 8th & 9th August 2025 with traditional fervour. The programme on 8th August was initiated with the tying of rakhi by sister teachers on the portrait of Swami Vivekananda which was followed by a song presentation befitting the occasion by a group of girls from class IX. Smt. Pujari Narzary, a teacher, delivered a speech on the significance of the day. The girl students too tied rakhi on the brother students' wrists. The following competitions were conducted for the students as a part of the celebration:
i) Rhymes Competition : BV I, BV II & BV III
ii) Poem Recitation : Class I, II & III
iii) Rakhi Drawing Competition : Class IV, V & VI
iv) Rakhi Making Competition : Class VII, VIII & IX

Another programme on 9th August (Second Saturday) was organised for the teachers. The day started with a cleanliness drive around the school by the teaching and the non teaching staff of the vidyalaya at 7:30 a.m. Then, at 9:30 a.m the sister teachers tied the sacred rakhi on the wrists of the brother teachers and bhaiyas. A group of students from Class VI to X residing near the school along with the teachers visited the CISF office in DHPS (NEEPCO) campus for tying rakhi to the Personnel of CISF.

Guru Purnima

 Guru Purnima was observed in the Vidyalaya on 9th July 2025. The Principal offered flowers to the portrait of Omkara. Guru Strota and Guru Bhajans were led by groups of students. The significance of the day was also briefed by Sri Nayan Borkataki, a teacher.

Swamiji's Punya tithi

 Swamiji's Punya tithi was observed at school. The great Indian monk and philosopher was paid homage on the day by offering flowers to his portrait during morning assembly. A speech on the significance of the day was also delivered by Smt. Minati Pradhan, a teacher.

International Yoga day in Yoga Varga , 2025

International Yoga day was celebrated in the Yoga Varga for sisters. The programme started with a lamp lighting ceremony  by the Principal of the Vidyalaya. There were around 16 attendees including Parents,Well-wishers and  Lady teachers.A speech was delivered by Smt.Minati Pradhan, a teacher, on the benefits of Yoga. There was also a song presentation by the lady teachers of the Vidyalaya. A parent too shared experience of practicing yoga throughout the year in Yoga Varga. 










International Day of Yoga on 2025

The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated by VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang in collaboration with DHPS, NEEPCO. The programme started at 6:30 a.m. at NRC. The programme started with the Prime Minister's address followed by Mass Yoga asana Practice and Demonstration and Pranayama. The programme included members from DHPS (NEEPCO), CISF, Parents, Teachers and Students. 

The school has also initiated a Yoga Satra for Gents(in and around Doyang) in the evening besides the ongoing Yoga Varga for all Ladies (in and around the place) in the evening.
