Vivekananda
Kendra is a Spiritually Oriented Service Mission. It was formed in the year
1972 by Eknathji Ranade after inauguration of Vivekananda Rock Memorial in 1970
which was constructed with the participation of millions of people of India to
commemorate the Swami Vivekananda Rock at Kanyakumari where Swami Vivekananda
sat and meditated for three days in 1892. The organization’s members translate
Vivekananda’s Vedanta and Yoga ideals into national reconstruction. It is based
on the principles promoted by Swami Vivekananda holding MAN MAKING-NATION
BUILDING as its main objective and yoga as the core component of its philosophy.
It renders various service activities through Yoga, Organising Youth and Women,
Rural Development, Education, Development of Natural Resource and Publications
based on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda .

Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Doyang
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Doyang is situated
in the campus of Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP), NEEPCO, Doyang, District
: Wokha, Nagaland. The Vidyalaya was established in the year 2000. The
Vidyalaya is co-educational and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary
Education, New Delhi. It prepares the students for All India Secondary School
Examination (Class- X) conducted by the board. Though the Vidyalaya has English
as medium of instructions, equal emphasis is given to Hindi and Sanskrit in the
curriculum.
In addition to the academic inputs, the work of
Vidyalaya is dedicated towards helping the children to develop their inherent
faculties like self-confidence, instilling in them a sense of righteousness,
discipline, duty to the society and the Motherland and develop love and respect
for rich cultural heritage of our country.
