Sri Sri Sankardev Tithi was celebrated in school with extreme spiritual and religious zeal on 16^th September, 2023.  The celebration started with prayers to the Gurujana. There was borgeet presentation by students of class VIII. A talk was delivered by Sri Rajesh Bhorali on the life and work of Gurujana which was followed by Diha naam prasanga by some students of class VIII and teachers. A speech on the significance of the day was also delivered by a student of class VI, Km. Sukanya Saikia. Prasad was also distributed among the students and teachers after the programme.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY (11/09/2023)

Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated today at VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang with great enthusiasm among parents, teachers, students and well wishers of the Vidyalaya. Swami Vivekananda’s momentous representation in the World Parliament of Religions on 11th September 1893 was commemorated. The whole programme was divided in two parts. The day started with a programme at school followed by  Prabhat ferry. Swamiji’s iconic and historic speech was delivered both in Hindi and English in two places. There were also Patriotic song presentations by students. The Prabhat ferry including students, teachers, NEEPCO personnel, CISF jawans and parents started at 7:30 a.m. 

The second part of the programme was a brief Prize Distribution Ceremony. The programme was attended by Head of DHPS, Sri R John Zelliang, DGM(M&HS), Dr. Dipul Ch. Haloi and Asst. Commandant, CISF, Sri Prakash. Sri John Zelliang ,in his address, referred to the occasion emphasizing on unity, mutual respect and universal acceptance.In addition to distribution of prizes, students of classes IX & X presented befitting songs. Here too, the soul soothing speech of Swamiji was delivered by a student of class VII.

 

JANMASTHAMI (07/09/2023)

                  Janmasthami(07/09/2023)

Janmasthami, the day of incarnation of Lord Krishna was observed in the school premises on 07/09/2023 with full vigour and zest. The programme started with lamp lighting ceremony by Principal. There were Krishna Bhajan presentations by students of primary classes, traditional dress presentation related to Janmashtami by the KG students and a dance drama on Baal Krishna by students of classes I, II & III. A speech was also delivered by teacher, Sri Prasanta Kumar Nath. Parents & Well-wishers too attended the programme. Prasad was also distributed at the end of the programme among all the attendees . After the programme there was also a pot breaking competition for the students of classes IV & V.

TEACHERS' DAY, 2023

 

Teachers’ Day was celebrated in school on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Flowers were offered to the portrait of the renowned scholar which was followed by a speech delivered by teacher, Smt. Minati Pradhan. Moreover, the students of class X played the role of teachers and conducted classes in all the other grades throughout the day. A programme was also organised for the teachers in the afternoon where the students delivered speeches, presented songs, performed dance. There were also games conducted for teachers during the programme.

SANSKRIT WEEK(28/08/2023 to 03/09/2023)

On the occasion of Sanskrit Week, VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang conducted Ekatmata Stotram Chanting Competition throughout the week for the students of classes VI to X.
