BELATED CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION(22 & 23 NOV,2021)

Children’s day was celebrated belatedly in school for classes III, V, VIII and classes IV, VI, VII on 22nd November, 2021 and 23rd November, 2021 respectively. Poems were recited, speeches were delivered, group songs and group dance were performed by students of different classes in those days. Speeches were delivered on the life and work of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and also on the significance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by teachers. Quiz competitions were also conducted for the students in those days where the students giving correct answers were awarded.








SADHANA DIWAS (19/11/2021)

Sadhana Diwas was observed by paying homage to one of the great souls of Mother India, Mananeeya Eknath Ranade. During the programme, Principal briefed the students about the significance of the day. Students of class IX presented two lead and follow patriotic songs. An eloquent speech was also delivered on the life and work of Sri Eknath Ranade by Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi based on which a quiz competition was conducted among the students. The correct answer givers were also awarded in the competition.

  



VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK, 2021 (01/11/2021) - CISF

 A programme was organised in school by CISF, Doyang unit as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week.  Asstt. Commandant, Sri Sunil Rawat and Inspector Sri M.K Mishra were present in the programme. Sri Sunil Rawat, in his speech, emphasized on following the path of integrity and honesty by students being the future generation for the development of the nation. Moreover, Inspector M.K Mishra explained the difference between integrity and honesty by citing some interesting examples. They also conducted an elocution competition for the students on the day for class IX & X which was followed by a Prize Distribution Ceremony.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK, 2021 (28/10/2021)

Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in school enthusiastically. It was inaugurated by DHEP, NEEPCO on 28/10/2021. The programme was attended by Head of Doyang Hydro Electric Plant, NEEPCO, Sri Deben Chandra Das, Deputy General Manager, Electrical, Sri R.C Murry, Sri Laishram Yamaiba Khuman, Deputy Manager, HR, DHEP, NEEPCO, Sri Dalim Barman, Deputy General Manager, R&B and a few officials of DHEP. Competitions were conducted for the students of classes V to X  like Essay Writing, Drawing and Slogan Writing Competitions during the week. A prize distribution ceremony for the students was also conducted by DHEP on the last day of the week (1/11/2021).





GANDHI & SHASTRI JAYANTI (02/10/2021)

Gandhi & Shastri Jayanti was observed in school with profound joy and vigour. Going by the significance of the day, speeches on the great personalities and their work were delivered. There were also patriotic songs and dance performance by students along with a welcome song by teachers in the programme. It became more special with the presence of Chief Guest, Sri Deben Chandra Das, Head of Doyang Hydro Electric Plant, NEEPCO and Guest of Honour, Sri Laishram Yamaiba Khuman, Deputy Manager, HR, DHEP, NEEPCO. Both the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour praised the efforts of the students and teachers in the Co-curricular activities that are conducted from time to time for overall development of the students.An eloquent speech on the significance of the day was delivered by Sri Biplav Chakraborty, a senior teacher.  A prize distribution ceremony was also conducted where prizes were given away to the students of class IX & X for Essay Writing and Elocution competition held earlier in the session 2021-2022.

   






WILDLIFE WEEK 2021 (02/10/2021)

A programme of Wildlife Week, 2021 was organised in school by Wokha Forest Division, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with ENVIS, National Pollution Control Board on 2nd October 2021.  Students of class VI, VII, IX & X attended the programme. The programme was graced by Sri Suman W.M. Sivachar,IFS, DEO (Wokha), Sri Limtsa S Sangtam, Programme officer, ENVIS, NPCB, Sri Lansothung Lotha, RFO, Baghty & Ms. Abeno, Livelihood Expert. Documentaries and videos on wildlife were played on big screen to make the students aware and responsible towards it.The key person of the program, Sri Suman W.M. Sivachar did a PowerPoint presentation emphasizing the reasons behind the hamper in the habitat of wildlife and the different perspectives of men towards it. Quiz was also conducted based on wildlife where both students and teachers participated enthusiastically. There were also some activities for students where the sound and the characteristics of birds were played and displayed respectively.







PARENT--TEACHER MEETING(30/08/2021)

 A Parent- teacher Meet was organised in the school for the parents of the students of class IX and X on 30th August 2021.The meeting was conducted to discuss the academic performance of the students, the new exam patterns and CBSE guidelines. Parents expressed their views and gave in their suggestions, inputs and queries to which Principal responded with vivid clarification and requested to fully support the authority for fruitful outcomes to occur in the days to come.

VISWAKARMA PUJA (17/09/2021)

 Viswakarma Puja was celebrated in the School Science Laboratory on 17th September 2021 at 7 am. Aarti was done after the Puja performed by teacher Sri Sudhir Kumar. At last Prasad was distributed.





UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY (11/09/2021)

 Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in the school with great zeal and ardour on 11th September, 2021. The programme was initiated with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal along with the chanting of Mangalacharan. The Principal then welcomed the gathering. There were a total of 30 persons present in the programme offline. It was also telecast through Google Meet mode with the students and parents of classes VII to X. A total of 40 persons viewed the programme online. A group song was presented by a few teachers after the welcome address. Swami Vivekananda’s famous Chicago speech was presented by Kr. Samir Basfor, a student of class X. Following this there was a group song by a group of students. Sri Biplab Chakraborty delivered an eloquent speech thereafter stressing the importance of Swamiji’s speeches in the world parliament of religions and its impact. Moreover, there was a dance performance by a student of class IV, Km. Namrata Thapa on a patriotic song describing our beautiful motherland ‘Bharat’. The programme then ended with extending of Vote of Thanks by Sri Satyam Saikia and chanting of Shantipath.





Apart from all these, online competitions were held for the students of classes I to VI. Three groups were formed. They were —

 

i)             I & II – English Poem Recitation Competition

ii)            III & IV – Hindi Poem Recitation Competition

                    iii)        V & VI – English Poem Recitation Competition








SANKARDEV TITHI (08/09/2021)

 

 On 8th September 2021, Srimanta Sankardev Tithi was celebrated in the school prayer hall. The programme was initiated with prayer to the Gurujana. Thereafter, a borgeet was presented by Km. Trishna Dutta, a student of class IX. A group of primary students performed Nagara Naam too which was followed by a speech by teacher, Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi. In addition to this a borgeet was presented by a few students of class IX. There was also Naam Prasanga at the end by the teachers and students which was followed by distribution of Prasad among the attendees.







           

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

RAKSHA BANDHAN (22/08/2021)

 Raksha bandhan was celebrated in the premises of VKV Doyang with profound joy.  The program started with a lead and follow song followed by a few bhajans by teachers. The music teacher  then performed a song gracing the moment with fervour. The history of Raksha Bandhan emphasizing the celebration and the importance of Rakhi was stated by the anchor. Following this the tying of the holy thread (Rakhi) to Swamiji’s panel was done and then to the brothers (teachers & students).

INDEPENDENCE DAY, 2021

Independence Day was celebrated in school with gaiety and patriotic fervour. The program started with hoisting of the tricolour and National Anthem. A speech was delivered thereafter on the significance of the day by Principal in-charge Sri Biplab Chakraborty which was followed by the singing of National song altogether. Moreover, there was a lead & follow of the Sankalp on 75 years of Independence. The program was concluded with offering of flowers to Bharatmata. A total of 36 persons were present in the program.

Gurupurnima Celebration (23 July, 2021)

 Online Program for Students

A virtual program was conducted for the students of a few classes at 3:30 in the afternoon. Students presented a number of Guru Bhajans and Gurustrota. There were speeches on the significance of the day both in English and Hindi by Su. Deepshikha Kalita and Sri Nayan Borkataki respectively. There were 35 participants in total including both students and teachers.




Offline Program for Karyakartas


A program was conducted in the school assembly hall at 6:30 in the evening. The teaching  and non-teaching staff members along with the family members attended the program. It was initiated with offering of flowers to Guru Omkara and consisted of lead and follow Guru Bhajan presentations by a few participants. There were presentations on the topic 'The Sages of India' both in Hindi and English  by Sri Sudhir Kumar and Sri Gopen Singh respectively. Moreover,  one of the teachers, Sri Satyam Saikia delivered an eloquent speech on the significance of the day. A total of 31 participants attended the program.
