 RAKSHA BANDHAN

VKV (NEEPCO) Doyang observed Raksha bandhan, the special bond of brothers & sisters today (30/08/23). The programme started with lamp lighting ceremony and tying of the sacred thread to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda by sister teachers. A speech on the occasion was delivered by teacher, Sri Ram Prawesh Suman. There was also a song presentation by a group of students. Thereafter, teachers tied rakhi among them followed by tying of rakhi by students.

After the programme,groups of students of class VI & VII  were formed and were taken for tying rakhi in NEEPCO, Hospital Complex, SBI and CISF premises under the guidance of teachers.

There was also a Rakhi making competition for the students of classes VIII & IX.

PARENT- TEACHER MEET

 A Parent-Teacher Meet was organised for class X on 22/08/2023 to see the Evaluated Answerbooks of Pre-mid and to discuss the progress of the students with teachers. The students too attended the meeting along with their Parents.

A Parent-teacher Meet for classes VI to IX was held at school on 19/08/2023 to distribute the Evaluated Answer Books of Periodic-Test I/ Pre-mid and discuss the progress of the students.

A Talk on 'Health Science as a Career'

      A Talk on 'Health Science as a Career'

A talk was delivered today (17/08/2023) at school by Dr. Dipul Chandra Haloi, DGM(M&HS), DHPS, NEEPCO on the topic 'Health Science as a Career'. He spoke on the broad range of occupations and specializations it encompasses and on the preparations required for them. All the students of classes VII to X attended the talk. There was a lead & follow Patriotic song before the session.

DRAWING COMPETITION

Drawing Competition

DHPS, NEEPCO conducted a drawing competition for the students of classes VI,VII& VIII on 29^th May 2023 as a part of Mission Life (Lifestyle for Environment). All the students of the mentioned classes participated in the competition. 

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Independence Day

 VKV ( NEEPCO) Doyang celebrates Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The programme started at 7:30 a.m. with hoisting of the tricolour by the Principal. There were patriotic songs by the students, National Song, speeches by teachers on Independence day and on the great freedom fighter Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, whose birthday falls on the same day.

After the school programme the students and teachers attended the NEEPCO programme. There too students participated by presenting the National Song. 

CAMPUS CLEANING DRIVE

Campus cleaning drive was conducted on 21^st May 2023 (Sunday) as a part of Swachata Pakhwada by the teaching and the non-teaching staff of the Vidyalaya at 7:00 in the morning. The places in and around the school were cleaned on the day.

 

LOTHA LANGUAGE LEARNING CLASS

 With the emphasis on learning local language by teachers as per NEP,2020, a step has been taken to learn the Lotha language. Teachers sit together for one hour from time to time to learn the language from Smt. Nsungkalo Kikon, a  sister from non-teaching staff.

GURU PURNIMA

Guru Purnima was observed on 3^rd July 2023 keeping with the tradition of offering respect to our gurus and in honour of Veda Vyasa. Apart from the day’s observance with speeches by both teacher& student, Guru bhajan presentations and lead & follow of Guru strotaduring school hours with students, there was also a Bisesh Bhajan Sandhaya in the evening where students, parents, teachers along with their family members and well-wishers attended and performed guru bhajans and prarthanas.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY(21/06/2023)

 International Yoga Day was celebrated with full spirit and joy. There was a mass yoga demonstration and practice for the students, teachers, parents and personnels of DHPS, NEEPCO at NRC hall. Along with the practice of yogasanas and pranayama the benefits of them were also mentioned.

There was also a concluding programme of the 14 day Yoga satra for sisters that was initiated on 08/06/2023. Smt. Bani Hazarika and Sri Uttam Dol, office bearers of GolaghatVibhag of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari were the distinguished guests. They appreciated the initiative and also motivated to make Yoga a way of life emphasizing on the benefits of it. The participants shared their experience in the programme. The programme also included a yoga demonstration by a group of students.
