AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON NEP (02/12/2023)

An awareness programme on NEP was organised on 2nd December 2023 for the Parents of class LKG and UKG to make them familiar with the new structure and aims & objectives of the policy as mandated by CBSE.

SUKAPHA DIVAS (02/12/2023)

SUKAPHA DIVAS

 Sukapha divas was observed on 2nd December 2023 to commemorate the historical journey and ascension of Chaolung Sukapha, the founder of Ahom kingdom. A speech was delivered by Smt. Jyoti Rekha Gogoi, a teacher, on the life and work of the great king. There was also an Inter- house Patriotic Song competition on the day.

LACHIT DIVAS

The brave warrior and legendary general of the Ahom kingdom, Lachit Borphukan was remembered and paid tribute on his birth anniversary(24/11/2023). Sri Satyam Saikia, a teacher, spoke on the work and life of the visionary leader which was followed by a short video presentation. A student of class IX too spoke on the significance of the day. The programme also included a lead and follow patriotic song.

SADHANA DIVAS 2023

 Sadhana Divas 2023

Sadhana Divas was observed in the Vidyalaya belatedly on 20th November 2023. Songs on Eknathji were presented by students. Sri Biplab Chakraborty, a senior teacher,delivered a speech on the life and work of Eknathji based on which an open quiz was conducted. There was also a short Prize distribution ceremony at the end. Moreover, dictation contest was conducted for class I & II based on  Powerpoint Presentations on 'Our Fruits' and 'Importance of Trees' respectively.

In the afternoon there was shram daan by students of class VIII & IX.

 Class X Parent-Teacher Meet 

A Parent-teacher Meet was organised on  18/11/2023 to see the Evaluated Answer Books and Report Card of Mid Term and discuss the progress of the students with teachers.

CHILDREN'S DAY AND TOKHU EMONG

 

Children's day and Tokhu Emong

Children's day was celebrated with great joy at VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang on 14th November 2023. Tokhu Emong, the harvesting festival of the Lotha tribe was also observed belatedly on the day. Students performed solo and group songs both in Hindi and Lotha. There were also speeches on both the occasions by teachers. The programme also included a Prize Distribution Ceremony of various competitions under co- curricular activities conducted previously. Dr. Dipul Chandra Haloi was the Chief Guest in the programme. Dr Haloi in his speech encouraged the students to perceive their goals and to be good citizens in general. After the Programme games like Musical Chair, Pass the ball, Football etc. were  conducted for all the classes.
