GEETA CHANTING COMPETITION

A Geeta Chanting Competition was conducted on 30th January 2024 for the students of classes III to IX. Students memorized sacred verses of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and chanted with great enthusiasm.

PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA (29/01/2024)

The live session of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme was played in big screen at the school Prayer hall on 29th January 2024. A total of 83 students from classes VI to X attended the program and found it very helpful as it contained topics regarding the preparation for exams. 15 teachers too attended the programme along with the students.

CBSE TEACHERS' TRAINING PROGRAMME

A day-long Continuous Professional Development Programme for teachers on Storytelling as Pedagogy was organised by CBSE at VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang on 27th January, 2024 . Resource person, Sri Anurodh Chitra, Principal, Delhi Public School, Dimapur, Nagaland, conducted very interactive and interesting sessions with a total of 20 participants.

REPUBLIC DAY

VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang celebrated 75th Republic day with great pride and patriotism. The tricolour was unfurled at the school premises at 7:45 a.m followed by a speech by the Principal In-charge, Sri Rajkumar Tiwari. There were speeches on the occasion and on Rani Gaidinliu by teachers, Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi and Sri Manik Chandra Deori respectively. There was also a lead and follow patriotic song. The programme in school ended with the singing of the National Song.

After the school programme, students and teachers attended the programme of DHPS(NEEPCO) in the playground and participated by singing National Anthem, National Song, Patriotic Song and Demonstration of Yoga asanas. A group of students also participated in the March Past.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2024

 ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2024 IN VKV(NEEPCO)DOYANG

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2024 was inaugurated on 24th January, 2024 with great zeal. Sri  Ch R John Zeliang, Executive Director & Head of Doyang Hydro Power Station(DHPS) , NEEPCO and Sri Diwakar Pandey , Asst. Commandant, CISF, Doyang unit graced the ceremony as Distinguished Guests. Parents and well-wishers too attended the programme. At the very beginning  God's presence was invoked through lamp lighting ceremony and prayer followed by a welcome address by Principal In-charge. Sri Ch R John Zelliang hoisted the school Sports Flag which was followed by the athletes  Km. Zukhumbeni Tungoe, Captain of Kho-kho team (Girls) in CBSE Cluster level Tournament and Kr. Kiron Kikon, Captain of Kho-kho team (Boys) in CBSE Cluster level Tournament passing over the sports torch to the Physical Education Teacher, Sri Prasanta Kr. Nath after lighting the cauldron. The ceremony continued with an oath taking ceremony by the students led by the Chief Commander of the troops. A wonderful march past followed the oath taking ceremony headed by members with flags and placards .The inaugural programme also included Mass drill by  classes UKG to III and Lezim & dumbbell display by classes IV & V. The Chief Guest, Sri John Zelliang addressed the gathering by emphasizing on the necessary qualities of a good Sportsman and praising the students for their performances. The programme was winded up declaring the Annual Sports Meet 2024 open and wishing the students all the luck by the Chief Guest. 

The sports events were conducted for two days ( 24th & 25th January 2024 ) for the students of classes LKG to X. Major events were 100m, 200m runs , 4×200m relay race, long jump, hop jump, shot put, balance race,  sack race, arithmetic race,spoon marble race and kho-kho . In addition to  all these, there were some other events too for the small kids.
