GURU PURNIMA

The auspicious occasion, Guru Purnima, was celebrated on the 13th July 2022 with great enthusiasm. The programme was for the students of classes VI to X. There was a lead and follow guru bhajan, which was followed by an eloquent speech by a senior teacher, Sri Ram Prawesh Suman where he mentioned about the significance of the occasion and the reason behind the celebration. Apart from these, a Guru bhajan competition was also conducted for the students of secondary classes.




SAMAPAN SAMAROH OF 7 DAY YOGA SATRA FOR BROTHERS (28/06/2022)

 Samapan Samaroh of 7 day Yoga Satra for brothers was held on 28th June 2022. The Principal thanked the participants for joining the sessions and distributed yoga charts among them. The programme was graced by Asstt. Commandant of CISF, Sri Prakash who encouraged initiatives like it and also praised the yoga demonstrator of the satra, Sri Nayan Borkataki for his effort.



PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY(25/06/2022)

 A Prize Distribution Ceremony of a Sit & Draw competition held on the occasion of World Environment Day was conducted on 25th June 2022. The ceremony was graced by Sri N.N Yadav, Inspector, CISF who in his speech spoke about the meaning of art and the importance of it.  There was also patriotic song presentation by a group of students.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (21/06/2022)

 International Day of Yoga was celebrated in a befitting way in school on 21st June. There were four yoga sessions for students of different classes forming separate groups. Besides Yoga practices, the sessions also included screening of documentaries on asanas and the importance of Yoga in general, talks by teachers on the importance of the day, the benefits of daily yoga practice spreading awareness among the students and encouraging them to follow the same.

Apart from all these, a yoga session was also conducted for NEEPCO employees in the morning at NEEPCO IB in which one of the teachers, Sri Nayan Borkataki was the resource person.

In the evening of International Yoga day, there was an inaugural ceremony of a yoga satra for the brothers which included teachers, CISF Jawans and also the local populace. The ceremony was graced by Asstt. Commandant, Sri Prakash as the Chief Guest. He in his speech encouraged the practice of yoga by people and also joined the yoga session that followed the ceremony along with his jawans. The total no. of participants including teachers was 30.

Samapan Samaroh of the 15 day Yoga Satra for sisters that started from 7th June 2022 was organised in the evening in which Smt. Geeta Medak, a Vivekananda Kendra Karyakarta and Golaghat- Karbi Anglong Vibhag Pramukh was the Chief Guest. She while interacting with the attendees spoke on the meaning of Yoga and continuous practice of it. She also cited various examples emphasizing the benefits of it. She also referred to the ideals and the core values of Swami Vivekananda and the relevance of them in our lives to lend a peaceful, unselfish and prosperous life. There was also a song presentation and a group yoga demonstration by students followed by sharing of experiences by participants.










PARENT-TEACHER MEET (06/06/2022)

 A Parent-teacher meet was organised on 6th June 2022 in school for the parents of the students of classes LKG,UKG,I & II. The meeting was conducted to distribute student’s diary and to explain all the relevant rules that are to be followed by students and discuss the details for proper utilization of the record pages.



INAUGURATION OF 15 DAY YOGA SATRA (07/06/2022)

 A 15 day Yoga Satra was inaugurated on 7th June 2022 for the female teachers and parents (mothers) at 5:00 p.m. In the inaugural ceremony, the Principal welcomed the gathering and encouraged everyone to participate in the following days. The Yoga Satra started right after the ceremony in which Su. Pujari Narzary was the yoga demonstrator.




WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (04/06/2022)

World Environment Day was observed in school on 4th June 2022 in two phases. In the first phase, the celebrations were held in collaboration with the ‘Natural Nagas’ organisation. The chairperson of the organisation, Mr. Steve Odyuo, states the importance of protecting the environment and made appeals to keep it clear and green. A cleanliness drive followed the programme with the students of classes IX & X.

The second phase of the day’s celebration included a speech on the significance of the day by Sri Satyam Saikia and screening of a documentary of the work of ‘The forest Man of India—Sri Jadav Molai Payeng’ based on which a quiz competition was conducted for the students of classes III to VIII. There was also a plantation drive in and around the school campus by the students along with a few teachers. Moreover, a Sit & Draw contest on themes related to environment was conducted for classes I & II and for classes IX & X.








PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP (30/05/22 TO 03/06/22)

Personality Development Camp was conducted in our school from 30.05.2022 to 03.06.2022 for the students of class VI. Different activities like Games,Yoga, Geet, Story apart from lecture sessions on various topics were conducted during the camp as per the guidelines received by VKSPV.

In Samapan Samaroh which was organised on 3rd June 2022, Asstt Commandant, CISF,Sri Prakash was the chief guest.

Sit & Draw Competition (28/05/2022)

A Sit & Draw competition was organised for the students of classes III to VIII forming two groups (Group A – III to V  and Group B – VI to VIII)  on 28th May 2022 by DHPS, NEEPCO as an activity of Swachhata Pakhwada





 




Awareness Talk on Cleanliness (27/05/2022)

An awareness talk on cleanliness was extended on 27th May 2022 by Dr. Dipul Chandra Haloi, Deputy General Manager, Medical & Health Services, DHPS, NEEPCO for the students of class VIII, IX & X. He introduced Swachhta Pakhwada and emphasized on the importance of cleanliness. 


                                   








Vidyarambha Ceremony (06/05/2022)

 Vidyarambha Ceremony was performed on 6th May 2022. Students admitted to LKG and their parents attended the ceremony. The ceremony started with Mangalacharan. The gathering was extended a warm welcome by Primary In-charge, Sri Satyam Saikia. Thereafter, Sri Sudhir Kumar performed Puja which was followed by writing OMKARA on rice by the students offering flowers to the Portrait of Omkara, Goddess Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda. Prasad was distributed among the attendees. The programme ended with the explanation of the rules and regulations of the school by Smt. Arpita Puzari
