A Badminton Tournament was organised for the students of class IX & X on 18th & 19th February, 2022. Both boys and girls participated enthusiastically in the Singles and Doubles category.

Great Backyard Bird Count (18/02/2022)
State
Forest Department of Nagaland organised a bird watching programme involving the
students of VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang in and around the school early in the morning on
18th February 2022. Students participated enthusiastically in the
process of counting birds and kept records of it along with the kinds of birds
they saw.
Prize Distribution Ceremony, 2022
Prize distribution ceremony for different co-curricular activities including yoga demonstration and badminton tournament conducted online & offline during the session was held for three days (16th, 19th & 28th of February, 2022)in the month of February. All the three days were graced by some esteemed guests, Sri Sunil Rawat, Asstt. Commandant & Sri Prakash, Asstt. Commandant (CISF) on 16/02/2022, Sri Raman Kumar Jha, Deputy General Manager, Finance, DHPS, NEEPCO on 19/02/2022 & Sri Prasenjit Phookan, General Manager (E/M), DHPS, NEEPCO on 28/02/2022. The events were initiated with lamp lighting ceremony followed by a welcome address by Principal. Inspiring speeches were delivered by the Guests. Patriotic Songs and Songs on Swamiji were presented and led by different groups of students from several classes. There were also dance performances by students of class VI & VII.
NDRF Mock Drill (12/02/2022)
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted a
mock drill to battle any kind of natural calamity at school on 12 February
2022. The objective was to show ways of saving maximum lives from any kind of
natural calamity and to prevent any toward incident. A relief camp was also set
up with full medical aid and food for the injured in the mock drill. NEEPCO
officers, CISF Jawans along with students and teachers were present in it.

Saraswati Puja (05/02/2022)
Saraswati Puja was performed in school with great devotion. The puja started at 8:00 am. A total of around 200 persons including students, teachers, parents, personnel of CISF and NEEPCO officers & employees were present in the puja. The students and teachers offered Puspanjali after the puja. Prasad and Khichdi were also served to all the people at the end.
Moreover, there was Bhajan Sandhya at 5:30 in the evening. A few parents and students also joined the teachers in the programme. Aarti was also performed at the end.

REPUBLIC DAY (26/01/2022)
Republic Day was
celebrated in school with gaiety and patriotic fervor. The programme started at
7:30 a.m. with the unfurling of the Tricolour and National Anthem. A speech was
delivered by Principal thereafter. National Song was also sung by the teachers and
students altogether which was followed by an eloquent speech delivered by Sri
Biplab Chakraborty on the significance of the day. The programme ended with a
lead and follow patriotic song led by Su. Deepshikha Kalita.
After the school
programme, the teachers and a few students attended the Republic Day programme
organized by NEEPCO.
NATIONAL YOUTH DAY & VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI (12/01/2022)
National Youth Day was celebrated at school on 12th January 2022 by the teachers (Students could not be present in the programme as physical schooling was suspended by Government of Nagaland during the period). Flowers were offered to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda and a senior teacher, Sri Biplab Chakraborty spoke on the day and enlightened the attendees about the contribution of Swami Vivekananda to the nation in particular and world in general. There was also a lead and follow patriotic song and a swadhyaya on the significance of National Youth Day where all the teachers actively participated speaking on the topic.
The Vidyalaya celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda also in CISF premises, Doyang unit. The programme was attended by Asstt. Commandant, Sri Sunil Rawat along with other CISF personnel and all the teachers. It started with lamp lighting ceremony and offering of flowers to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Sri Ram Prawesh Suman, a senior teacher spoke about Swami Vivekananda who always motivated the youth of the country and spoke about the right use of the youth in the development of the country. There was a song presentation by the lady teachers too. In addition to these, Asstt. Commandant, Sri Sunil Rawat and Sub Inspector, Sri Sachin Kumar spoke on the day citing examples about the qualities and characteristics with which a person can be called to be of youth category irrespective of any age referring to the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. The programme ended with a lead and follow Bharat Mata song which was led by music teacher, Smt. Arpita Puzari.
