ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2023 (09/01/2023-10/01/2023)

 Annual Sports Meet 2023 was inaugurated on 9^th January, 2023 with great enthusiasm. Sri John Zeliang, Head of Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS), NEEPCO and Sri Prakash Sai, Assistant Commandant, CISF,Doyang unit graced the ceremony as distinguished Guests. Parents and well-wishers too attended the programme. At the very beginning God’s presence was invoked through lamp lighting ceremony and prayer followed by a welcome address by Principal. Sri John Zelliang hoisted the school Sports Flag which was followed by the Sports Torch Relay by the torchbearer, Km. Norisika G Momin, Captain of runner-up kho-kho team (Girls) in CBSE Cluster level  Tournament , Km. Lichoni Kikon, badminton Champion (Girls) and Kr. M. Jeffery Humtsoe, Badminton Champion (Boys) and passing over the sports torch to the Chief Guest, Sri John Zelliang for lighting the cauldron. The ceremony continued with an oath taking ceremony by the students led by the Chief Commander of the troops. A wonderful march past followed the oath taking ceremony headed by leaders and members with flags along with a band group display at the end. The inaugural programme also included aerobic dance by the students, Mass drill by Primary classes and Surya Namaskar & Pyramid display by secondary classes. The Chief Guest , Sri John Zelliang, addressed the gathering by recalling his school days memories and emphasized on the necessary qualities of a good Sportsman like dedication, team spirit, discipline, resilience, integrity, patience and goal. He winded up his speech declaring the Annual Sports Meet 2023 open and wishing the students all the luck. The sports events were conducted for two days (9^th & 10^th January 2023) for the students of classes LKG to X. Major events were 100m, 200m,800m,1500m running race, 4X200m relay race, long jump, hop jump, shot put, balance race, sack race, arithmetic race. In addition to all these were some other events too for the small kids.

Moreover, Prize distribution ceremonies were conducted on 10^th January in which the winners of the sports events were praised for their excellence with medals. Sri Dipul Chandra haloi, DGM(M&HS), DHPS, NEEPCO, Mrs. Monisha Haloi and Sri Jesse Pinnio, Manager, State Bank of India, Doyang were the distinguished guests in the ceremonies.

Inter-school quiz contest 2023

Extremely proud of our students who participated and bagged prizes in inter-school quiz contest organised by DHPS, NEEPCO in Government High School, Pangti, Wokha on 29/03/2023 . 6 students from class VI, VII & VIII participated in two groups (Junior & Senior category).The junior group bagged 1st prize and the senior group bagged 2nd prize in the competition.

 

Vidyaramba Ceremony

With the start of the new academic session 2023-24, VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang welcomes the budding buds of Kindergarten with great zest and fervour. Vidyaramba ceremony was organised on 27/04/2023 wishing them all the best on stepping into the adventurous learning journey.The ceremony started with Mangalacharan. The gathering was extended a warm welcome by Primary In-charge, Sri Satyam Saikia. Thereafter, Sri Nayan Borkataki performed Puja which was followed by writing OMKARA on rice by the students offering flowers to Omkara, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Ganesh and Swami Vivekananda. Prasad was distributed among the attendees. The programme ended with the explanation of the rules and regulations of the school by Smt. Arpita Puzari.

Disaster Response Awareness programme & Mock Drill(28/03/2023)

 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted a Disaster Response Awareness programme & Mock Drill for the employees of DHPS(NEEPCO), students & teachers of VKV, personnel of CISF & other residents of Doyang. It was organised by DHPS in VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang on 28/03/2023.
