Swami Vivekananda’s momentous representation in the World Parliament of Religions on 11th September 1893 was commemorated. The day was celebrated at two different places. The day started with a programme at school. An eloquent speech on the day's significance was delivered by teacher, Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi.Swamiji’s iconic and historic speech was delivered both in English by a student of class IX, Km. Elena Ezung. There was also a Patriotic song presentation by students. The attendees included students, teachers and CISF jawans. Dr Dipul Chandra Haloi, Dy. General Manager, Medical & Health Services (M&HS), DHPS, NEEPCO and Sri Mahindra Singh, Inspector, CISF, Doyang unit were the distinguished guests in the programme.Dr. D.C Haloi ,in his address, referred to the occasion emphasizing on unity, mutual respect and universal acceptance.
A programme was also conducted at CISF premises,Doyang unit. Students of different classes presented befitting songs. Here too, the soul soothing speech of Swamiji was delivered by two students from class IX, Km. Shamima Begum Tapadar and Km. Elena Ezung, in Hindi and English respectively. A speech on the significance of the day was also delivered by Sri Laldeo Yadav, a teacher. The Assistant Commandant of CISF, Doyang unit too spoke on the day's significance and extended his gratitude for conducted such programme in the CISF premises.
