GITA JAYANTI (11/12/2024)

 Gita Jayanti was observed at the Vidyalaya on 11th December 2024. The programme included an offering of flowers, speech on the day's significance by Sri Nayan Borkataki,a teacher, and chanting of geeta shlokas by class IX girls. Geeta chanting competition was also conducted on the day for the students of Balvatika III to class V.

Asom Divas 2024

 Asom Divas was observed in the Vidyalaya during morning assembly on 2nd December, 2024. Flowers were offered to the portrait of Chaolung Sukapha, the founder of the  Mighty Ahom dynasty, by the Principal Incharge. A speech on the significance of the day was also delivered by Sri Rajesh Bhorali, a teacher.

 A contingent of 37 students (Classes VI, VII, VIII) from VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang participated in Cluster level Vivekananda Krida Mahotsav, 2024 organised at VKV, Golaghat on 29th & 30th of November, 2024. Students of 7 VKVs very enthusiastically participated in the various events conducted during the two-day Sports programme. The following prizes were bagged by VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang :

1. Kho kho (girls) : Champion

2. Kho kho (boys) : Runner up

3. 200 mtr race : 1st position

4. 100 mtr race : 1st position

5.  Long jump : 2nd position

6. 800 mtr race : 2nd position

7. Best chaser (kho kho- girls)

8. Best chaser (kho kho - boys)

Lachit Divas 2024

The brave warrior and legendary general of the Ahom kingdom, Lachit Borphukan was remembered and paid tribute on 25/11/2024 (Monday). Sri Bhaskar Jyoti Gogoi, a teacher, spoke on the work and life of the visionary leader. The programme also included a Patriotic Song Competition for the students of classes VI to X.

 




Parent-teacher meet for VI to IX

A Parent-teacher meet was organised on 23/11/2024 (Saturday) for the parents of the students from Classes VI to IX to distribute the Answer books of Term I/Mid-term examination and Progress Report Cards followed by discussion regarding the progress of the students.

Sadhana Diwas was observed in the Vidyalaya on 19th November 2024

 Sadhana Diwas was observed in the Vidyalaya on 19th November 2024 in four parts. The first part of the programme included offering flowers to the portrait of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, group song and speech on the life and work of the great leader by Sri Satyam Saikia, a teacher, which was followed by an open quiz.

The second part was a Prize distribution ceremony for the students of Balvatika I to class IV, which was graced by the presence of Ms. Imlirenla Longkumer, Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Doyang. It  too included a group song presentation.

The third part was Shram daan (cleanliness drive) by the students of classes VII, VIII & IX in the nearby places of the school.

The last part was a programme organised for the staff members (both teaching & non-teaching) along with their family members. The programme included offering of flowers to the portrait of Eknathji by all, lead and follow of the song 'Bandana Abhinandana' and detail presentation on the chapters of the book 'Eknathji' by the teachers. One of the family members also led a bhajan in the programme.

 A Parent-teacher meet was organised on 13/11/2024 (Wednesday) for the parents of the students from Classes III to V to distribute the Answer books of Term I examination and Progress Report Cards followed by discussion regarding the progress of the students.

Tokhu Emong 2024

 The post- harvest festival of Lotha Naga Community, Tokhu Emong was observed in the Vidyalaya on 08/11/2024 (Friday). The programme included a lotha folk song performance in a group as well as solo  in traditional attire by students of class VIII & IX. The significance of the celebration was also briefed by  Lochumi C Ngullie, a student of class VIII. The programme was graced by the presence of Sri Mhonthung Odyuo, an employee of R&B Division, DHPS, NEEPCO. Sri Odyuo, in his speech, spoke in detail about the significance of the festival and the ways of celebrating it.
