The 7th Republic day 7& the Rani Gaidinliu Jayanti were celebrated in Vidyalaya with great patriotic fervour. The tricolour was unfurled by the Principal Incharge of the Vidyalaya at 7:30 a.m. which was followed by his speech. A patriotic song was also presented by a group of students. Sri Rana Pratap Gogoi, a senior teacher, delivered a speech on the significance of the day. The programme in the school ended with the singing of the National Song.

Surya Namaskar Mahayajna(25/01/26)
On the occasion of Ratha Saptami as a part of Surya Namaskar Mahayajna organised by Vivekanandra Kendra Assam Prant, Students, Teachers, Parents and Well-wishers joined a Suryanamaskar programme at VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang on 25/01/2026 at 8:15 a.m. The aim was to perform a minimum of 51 Surya Namaskars and those who would be able to perform 108 Surya Namaskars continuously would be entitled as SURYA-VEER awarded with medals and certificates by Vivekanandra Kendra Assam Prant. A total of 55 members performed suryanamaskar out of which 14 members performed 108 rounds of suryanamaskars continuously.
Netaji Jayanti (Parakram Divas) 2026
Netaji Jayanti (Parakram Divas) was observed in the Vidyalaya. The brief programme included offering of flowers on the portrait of the great leader, a patriotic song presentation by the students of class VII and a speech on the life and work of the iron-willed revolutionary patriot by Sri Sumonta Roy, a teacher.

A team of 4 students from class IX participated in a quiz competition of Pariksha Pe Charcha on the occasion of Parakram Divas(23/01/2026) at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Wokha and bagged the 3rd prize.

Saraswati Puja 2026
Saraswati Puja was performed in school on 23/01/2025 with great devotion. The puja started at 9:00 am. A total of around 250 persons including students, teachers, parents, personnel of CISF and NEEPCO officers & employees were present in the puja. The students and teachers offered Puspanjali after the puja. Prasad, Payas and Khichdi were also served to all the people at the end.
Aarti was also performed in the evening by the staff and their family members and a few parents too.

Vivekananda Jayanti & National Youth Day 2026
Vivekananda
Jayanti & National Youth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at four
places.
A Prize Distribution Ceremony for Secondary
section was organised in the school premises. The programme was graced by Sri
R.C Murry, DGM (tech), DHPS, NEEPCO, Sri Diwakar Pande, the Assistant
Commandant, CISF, Sri L. Chishi,
Inspector of CISF and Sri P.Murry, Sub-inspector, CISF. The attendees also
included parents and well-wishers in addition to students and the entire staff
of the Vidyalaya. The programme was initiated with a lamp lighting
ceremony by the esteemed guests. Sri R.C
Murry motivated and praised the students through his inspiring speech. The
programme included presentation of Vivekvanis by students of class VIII &
IX.There were songs and dance performances too. The prize distribution ceremony
included prizes of CCA and sports events of the session 2025-26.
The
other three places were Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Wokha, CISF premises,
Doyang and Doyang Namghar.Three groups of students were formed to present skits
on various incidents of Swami Vivekananda's life and the teachings out of them
and patriotic songs. Speeches were also
delivered by teachers in detail on Vivekananda Kendra.
