Celebration of Srimanta Sankardev Tithi

VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang celebrated the Tirubhav Tithi of Sri Sri Srimanta Sankardev  on 25/08/25. The programme was initiated with prarthana to the Gurujana followed by speeches delivered by Smt. Nilakhi Duarah, a teacher, and Km. Sukanya Saikia, a student, on work and life of the Assamese Polymath. The programme also included solo and group borgeet  and Diha Naam presentations by  students and teachers.

A Solo Bhajan Competition for the students of classes VI to IX was also conducted after the programme.

Janmashtami

 Janmashtami was observed in the Vidyalaya on 16 August 2025 for the students of Primary classes. The programme included Krishna Bhajan led by class V students, a dance on krishna song by Balvatika Students and a speech on the significance of the occasion by Sri Nayan Borkataki, a teacher.

Krishna Bhajan Competition for the students of classes IV & V and Pot Breaking Competition for classes I, II & III were also conducted after the programme.













Vidyalaya celebrates 79th Independence Day

 Independence day was celebrated with great Patriotic fervour. The flag was hoisted at 7:15 a.m. in school premises which was followed by the address of the Principal of the Vidyalaya. There was a Patriotic Song led by a group of students of class X. Smt. Deepshikha Kalita, a teacher, also presented a speech. The programme also included the presentation of Swadesh Mantra by a student of class X, Km. Erenbeni Tsanglao . It was concluded with the singing of the National Song.

After the school programme, the students and teachers attended the common programme at NEEPCO IB. Students participated by presenting a patriotic song.

CBSE Cluster Level Kabaddi Tournament 2025

 Students participated in the CBSE Cluster Level Kabaddi Tournament held at Srimanta Shankar Academy, Dispur, Guwahati from 8th to 10th August 2025. The two teams (boys & girls) brought laurels to the school as they bagged the 2nd Runner up Trophy.

Rakshabandhan on 8th & 9th August 2025

Rakshabandhan was celebrated on 8th & 9th August 2025 with traditional fervour. The programme on 8th August was initiated with the tying of rakhi by sister teachers on the portrait of Swami Vivekananda which was followed by a song presentation befitting the occasion by a group of girls from class IX. Smt. Pujari Narzary, a teacher, delivered a speech on the significance of the day. The girl students too tied rakhi on the brother students' wrists. The following competitions were conducted for the students as a part of the celebration:
i) Rhymes Competition : BV I, BV II & BV III
ii) Poem Recitation : Class I, II & III
iii) Rakhi Drawing Competition : Class IV, V & VI
iv) Rakhi Making Competition : Class VII, VIII & IX

Another programme on 9th August (Second Saturday) was organised for the teachers. The day started with a cleanliness drive around the school by the teaching and the non teaching staff of the vidyalaya at 7:30 a.m. Then, at 9:30 a.m the sister teachers tied the sacred rakhi on the wrists of the brother teachers and bhaiyas. A group of students from Class VI to X residing near the school along with the teachers visited the CISF office in DHPS (NEEPCO) campus for tying rakhi to the Personnel of CISF.
