 ANNUAL SPORTS MEET, 2025- 26 of VKV (NEEPCO) Doyang was inaugurated on 17th December, 2025 with great zeal. Sri  Ch R John Zeliang, Executive Director (NEEPCO) & Head of Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS) , NEEPCO, Sri Diwakar Pande, Asst. Commandant, CISF, Doyang unit and Sri Mahindra Singh, Inspector, CISF, Doyang unit graced the ceremony as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Distinguished Guest respectively. Parents, well-wishers and alumni too attended the programme. At the very beginning,  God's presence was invoked through a lamp lighting ceremony and prayer followed by a welcome address by the Principal of the Vidyalaya. Sri Ch R John Zelliang hoisted the school Sports Flag which was followed by passing over the sports torch to the esteemed guests for lighting the cauldron by the athletes  Km. Mhadeno Patton, Captain of Kabaddi team (Girls) in CBSE Cluster level Tournament and 2nd Position holder in Long jump in Sansad Khel Mahotsav at Wokha in the current year and Kr. Echunthung Yanthan, the best player award winner of Annual Sports 2025-26. The programme continued with an oath taking ceremony by the students led by the Chief Commander of the troops, Km. Lochumi C Ngullie, a great kho kho player. A wonderful march past followed the oath taking ceremony headed by flag bearers . The inaugural programme also included a dance performance by  the students of BV I, BV II & BV III and Mass Drill by the students of classes I, II & III, Dumbbell display by Classes IV & V, Hula hoop dance by classes I,II & III, and a Yoga based display by the girls of classes IV to IX. The Chief Guest, Sri John Zelliang addressed the gathering by emphasizing on the necessary qualities of a good Sportsperson and praising the students for their performances. The programme concluded by declaring the Annual Sports Meet, 2025-26 open and wishing the students all the luck by the Guest of Honour.
