Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Doyang is situated in the campus of Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP), (NEEPCO), Doyang, and District: Wokha, Nagaland.
Republic day was celebrated in school with gaiety and patriotic fervor. The programme started at 7:30 am. with the unfurling of National Flag and National Anthem. A speech was delivered by Principal thereafter. National song was also sung by the teachers and students altogether which was followed by an eloquent speech delivered by Sri Kh. Gopen Singh on the life and work of Rani Gaidinliu. The programme ended with a lead and follow patriotic song led by a group of students.
Moreover, there was Bhajan Sandhya at 5:30 pm. in the evening. A few parents and students also joined the teachers in the programme. Aarti was also performed at the end.
Alumni Sports Meet was organised on 5th January 2023 in VKV (NEEPCO) Doyang with great zeal. The day started with an inaugural programme in the morning with song presentation and welcome speech. A total of 41 alumni attended the meet reporting at around 9:30 am when they were welcomed with aarti to the school premises. Following were the sports events conducted throughout the day:
i) Running race ii) Musical Chair iii) Shot put iv) Tug of war v) Volley ball
Also, a few entertaining games were conducted for all the alumni. The day ended with a prize distribution ceremony.
A Cross Country Race was organized for the students, teachers, personnel of CISF and NEEPCO on the eve of National Youth Day & Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at 7:00 in the morning . A prize distribution ceremony was also conducted thereafter to encourage the participants where the respected Chief Guest Sri Prakash Sai, Astt. Commandant of CISF ,Doyang gave away the prize.
The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated with great zeal in VKV (NEEPCO) Doyang. A total of 350 persons including students, teachers , parents and well-wishers were present in the programme. The programme was graced by Sri John Z Zeliang , Head of DHPS , NEEPCO , Sri Prakash , Assistant Commandant , CISF ,Doyang unit , Dr Dipul Chandra Haloi , DGM (M & HS) DHPS, NEEPCO along with a few officials of DHPS , NEEPCO . The day started with lamp lighting ceremony by the distinguished guests of the day followed by a welcome address and a brief school report by Principal. There was also a prize distribution ceremony of the various competition conducted during the session under CCA. Prizes were also given for the Best Athlete (both boys and girls) . Sri John Zeliang in his speech, praised the students for there performance and achievements throughout the session and also the teachers for guiding and moulding them in the way they are. He also emphasized on the importance of physical training of the students. The later part of the programme consisted of traditional and creative dance, Dance on patriotic songs , Yoga presentation , Action song , Folk song , Mime , Pantomime , Bihu dance by different groups of students from classes LKG to X.
