 AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TOBACCO (02/05/2024)

With a motive  to spread awareness among school students about the danger of smoking, chewing of tobacco and spitting, an awareness programme was organised on VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang on 02/05/2024. Dr. N Chenithung Yanthan, District Nodal Officer, National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) & National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) with a team of 3 more members conducted the programme. One of the team members, Dr Thungrhoni Kikon, Dental Surgeon at District Hospital, Wokha, shared with the students of classes IV to X along with teachers some important and correct ways to main oral hygiene.The other two members, Miss Mharhoni R Ezung , Social Worker(NTCP) and Tshope ii Khutsoh, Psychologist (NTCP), District Hospital, Wokha made Powerpoint Presentations on the harmful effects of tobacco which was followed by a quiz based on the information shared through the PPT.The students were also advised to sensitize their family members and also inform about the basic provisions of Tobacco Control Law, and ban of smoking in public.

VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang cheerfully welcomes the budding buds of Balvatika I with the start of the academic session 2024-25. Vidyarambha Ceremony for the little ones was organised on 29th April, 2024. The ceremony started with a welcome speech by Primary Incharge, Sri Satyam Saikia followed by performing of puja and writing of Omkara on a plate of  rice. The programme ended with the sharing of the rules & regulations with the parents  which are to be followed in school by the students and taken care by parents.

INDEPENDENCE DAY, 2021

Independence Day was celebrated in school with gaiety and patriotic fervour. The program started with hoisting of the tricolour and National Anthem. A speech was delivered thereafter on the significance of the day by Principal in-charge Sri Biplab Chakraborty which was followed by the singing of National song altogether. Moreover, there was a lead & follow of the Sankalp on 75 years of Independence. The program was concluded with offering of flowers to Bharatmata. A total of 36 persons were present in the program.

Gurupurnima Celebration (23 July, 2021)

 Online Program for Students

A virtual program was conducted for the students of a few classes at 3:30 in the afternoon. Students presented a number of Guru Bhajans and Gurustrota. There were speeches on the significance of the day both in English and Hindi by Su. Deepshikha Kalita and Sri Nayan Borkataki respectively. There were 35 participants in total including both students and teachers.




Offline Program for Karyakartas


A program was conducted in the school assembly hall at 6:30 in the evening. The teaching  and non-teaching staff members along with the family members attended the program. It was initiated with offering of flowers to Guru Omkara and consisted of lead and follow Guru Bhajan presentations by a few participants. There were presentations on the topic 'The Sages of India' both in Hindi and English  by Sri Sudhir Kumar and Sri Gopen Singh respectively. Moreover,  one of the teachers, Sri Satyam Saikia delivered an eloquent speech on the significance of the day. A total of 31 participants attended the program.
