Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Doyang is situated in the campus of Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP), (NEEPCO), Doyang, and District: Wokha, Nagaland.
A team of four members from Prajapati Ishwariya Brahmakumari visited VKV (NEEPCO) Doyang on 30th May 2024. One of the members, Brahmakumari Priya didi conducted an interactive session with the students of classes V to X emphasizing on the importance of keeping the young minds and souls clean and unpolluted. The session also included meditation towards the end.

The Honourable Chairperson of Nagaland State Human Rights Commission (NSHRC) Justice S. Serto with its member Sri R Nzanbemo Lotha and officials visited VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang on 13 May 2024 (Monday).The Director (Personnel), NEEPCO, Maj General(retd) Rajesh Kumar Jha too accompanied them.

The birth anniversary of the great scholar and novelist, Rabindranath Tagore was observed in the school on 8th April, 2024. The life and remarkable contributions of the great Bengali Polymath were briefed by Sri Biplab Chakraborty, a senior teacher. There was also a poem recitation on one of the poems of his collection 'Gitanjali' by Km. Elena Ezung, a student of class IX.
AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TOBACCO (02/05/2024)
With a motive to spread awareness among school students about the danger of smoking, chewing of tobacco and spitting, an awareness programme was organised on VKV(NEEPCO) Doyang on 02/05/2024. Dr. N Chenithung Yanthan, District Nodal Officer, National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) & National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) with a team of 3 more members conducted the programme. One of the team members, Dr Thungrhoni Kikon, Dental Surgeon at District Hospital, Wokha, shared with the students of classes IV to X along with teachers some important and correct ways to main oral hygiene.The other two members, Miss Mharhoni R Ezung , Social Worker(NTCP) and Tshope ii Khutsoh, Psychologist (NTCP), District Hospital, Wokha made Powerpoint Presentations on the harmful effects of tobacco which was followed by a quiz based on the information shared through the PPT.The students were also advised to sensitize their family members and also inform about the basic provisions of Tobacco Control Law, and ban of smoking in public.
VIDYARAMBHA CEREMONY (29/04/2024)
VKV(NEEPCO)Doyang cheerfully welcomes the budding buds of Balvatika I with the start of the academic session 2024-25. Vidyarambha Ceremony for the little ones was organised on 29th April, 2024. The ceremony started with a welcome speech by Primary Incharge, Sri Satyam Saikia followed by performing of puja and writing of Omkara on a plate of rice. The programme ended with the sharing of the rules & regulations with the parents which are to be followed in school by the students and taken care by parents.
