Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO), Doyang observed Universal Brotherhood Day with great enthusiasm and solemnity on 11 September 2026. The programme in the school premises commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Mangalacharan, invoking blessings for the occasion. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, followed by their felicitation.

The highlight of the programme was the presentation of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address in English by Km. Thungyani Murry of Class IX. A group of students of Classes VII and VIII presented a group song, adding to the spirit of the occasion. Sri Nayan Borkataki, a teacher, delivered an insightful speech on the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message in the present times.The cultural segment included a solo dance performance by Atreya Rani Dalai and a group dance by girls of Class VI.The programme also featured a prize distribution ceremony, in which prizes were presented to students for their outstanding performance in the Annual Examination of the previous academic year. Certificates of Appreciation and medals were also presented to the ‘Surya Veers’(students,parents, teachers), who had successfully completed 108 Surya Namaskars as part of the Surya Namaskar Maha Yajna, acknowledging their dedication and commitment.The programme was graced by Sri Bendang Ningsang, DGM (Technical), DHPS, NEEPCO, as the Chief Guest, along with Sri Vishal Yadav, Assistant Manager, DHPS, NEEPCO, and Sri S. Bhattacharjee, Assistant Manager, DHPS, NEEPCO as guest of honour. Sri  Bendang Ningsang, in his speech, appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to imbibe the ideals of universal brotherhood, harmony and service in their daily lives.The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Smt. Deepshikha Kalita, followed by Shantipath.The following competitions were also conducted for different classes as a part of the celebration:

 i) Pledge for Balvatika I to Class III

ii) Kendra Prayer for Classes IV, V & VI

iii) Vivek Vani for Classes VII to X.

 

A second programme was also organised at the CISF premises at 4:00 p.m. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and Mangalacharan, followed by the Principal’s address on the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day.

Sri Nayan Borkataki, delivered a speech, followed by the Chicago Address in English by Km. Thungyani Murry of Class IX and the Chicago Address in Hindi by Km. Mhabeni Kithan of class IX. A group of students presented a patriotic song, creating an atmosphere of national pride and unity.

Sri Debakar Pandey, Assistant Commandant, CISF, addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of harmony, unity and brotherhood. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sri L. D. Yadav and Shantipath.

Teachers’ Day Celebration

 The Teachers’ Day Programme was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO), Doyang, in two parts to celebrate and honour the teachers for their dedication and contribution towards education and the holistic development of students.

The first part of the Teachers’ Day Programme was compered by Km. Hachobeni  of Class V and commenced at 9:10 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp and Mangalacharan, invoking blessings for the programme. This was followed by Pushpa Pranam by the Principal as a mark of respect and gratitude towards the teaching fraternity.Sri Satyam Saikia, a senior teacher, spoke on the significance of Teachers’ Day, highlighting the important role of teachers in shaping the lives and character of students. The students of the primary classes then presented a series of colourful cultural performances. Class I presented an action song, followed by an action song by Classes II and III. The programme continued with a group dance by the girls of Class IV, a group song by the boys of Class IV, and a group dance by the students of Class V.

A video clip presentation was also shown by Smt.Minati Pradhan, a teacher, adding a meaningful visual element to the celebration. The first part concluded with Shantipath.

 The second part of the programme commenced at 10:45 a.m. was compered by  Km. Atreya Rani Dalai of class VII and was initiated with Mangalacharan, followed by Pushpa pranam by all the teachers. The Principal’s message highlighted the significance of Teachers’ Day and expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts and dedication of the teachers.

The cultural segment began with a group song by the boys of Classes VI, VII and VIII. This was followed by a speech by Km. Manisha Deka,a teacher, and a solo song by Sri Sumonjit Singh,the music teacher of the Vidyalaya.The class-wise cultural presentations showcased the enthusiasm and talents of the students. Class VI presented a group dance by girls, while Classes VII and VIII presented a group dance. Class IX presented a group song and a group dance. Class X presented a variety of performances, including a solo song by Km. Lochumi C Ngullie, a group dance by the girls, a song by Km. Nzani A Murry and Km. Lochumi C Ngullie, and a dance by Km. Jaanmani Swargiary and Km. Machoni Lotha.

The programme was further enriched by a video clip presentation by Smt.Minati Pradhan, a teacher, and concluded with Shantipath.






























Janmashtami

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO), Doyang observed Janmashtami on 4th September 2026 with devotion and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with Mangalacharan followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Principal Sir.

 The students of Class V led a melodious Krishna Bhajan, followed by an inspiring speech by Smt. Puzari Narzary, a teacher,  highlighting the significance of Lord Krishna's life and teachings. The students of Balvatika I, II and III presented a beautiful Krishna Dance, adding colour and joy to the celebration. The first part of the programme concluded with Shantipath and distribution of Prashad.

The second part of the celebration included a Pot Breaking Competition for Classes IV and V and a Solo Bhajan Competition for Classes I, II and III. The students participated with great enthusiasm and displayed their talent and devotion.

Mahapurush Sri Sri Madhavdev Tithi (1st September 2026)

 The Tithi of Mahapurush Sri Sri Madhavdev was observed with due reverence and solemnity in the Vidyalaya on 1 September 2026. The programme was organised after the morning assembly to commemorate the life, teachings, and contributions of the great saint, poet, and spiritual reformer.

The programme began with Mangalacharan, followed by a soulful Borgeet presentation by Smt.Nilakhi Duarah (teacher) and Sri Nayan Borkataki (teacher)playing instrument. A speech highlighting the life and contributions of Sri Sri Madhavdev was then delivered by Sri Sumonjit Singh, a teacher. A Reading Competition was also organised for the students of Classes III to VII, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their reading skills.
